Who Is John Hollingsworth?

John Hollingsworth is the co-founder of DataWORKS and a leader in educational innovation. Since 1997, he has had first hand experience in over 25,000 classrooms worldwide. Through his first hand experience and research, he has developed teaching methods and strategies that simplify complex concepts, making them easier for students to understand and retain. His vision is for every student to excel and every teacher to feel empowered in their teaching.

What Is DataWORKS Educational Research?

DataWORKS Educational Research is designed to support educators by enhancing their teaching methods.

Our approach, known as Explicit Direct Instruction (EDI), focuses on clear, engaging, and effective instruction and lessons.

This approach is especially beneficial for students who need extra support or are learning English as a second language.

EDI was developed by Dataworks founders, Dr. Silvia Ybarra and John Hollingsworth.

EDI focuses on improving education at the lesson level by incorporating instructional practices from the work of educational and cognitive researchers such as Hattie, Rosenshine, Hunter, Sousa, and Marzano.
